Using the calculators, guides, or reference pages on SelfEmploymentCalculator means you accept the terms below.
Four free calculators (Self-Employment Tax, 1099 Tax, Quarterly Tax, and S-Corp Savings), a 2026 tax reference page, and a handful of guides on SE tax, quarterly payments, and how much to set aside. All of it is free to use, and none of it requires an account.
The calculators apply the current 15.3% self-employment tax rate and the 2026 Social Security wage base to whatever numbers you enter. They do not know your full return: itemized deductions beyond the standard amount, niche credits, and state tax are outside their scope. Treat the output as a planning number, not a substitute for the return your software or accountant files.
Everything here is provided as-is. We do not guarantee the calculators, guides, or reference data will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suited to your particular circumstances.
We are not liable for losses, penalties, or damages tied to your use of this site, including decisions made based on a calculator result or guide.
This site runs Google AdSense and carries a small number of affiliate links to other tools. We may earn revenue from ads shown here or commissions from affiliate links you click.
The calculator code, layout, and written guides are ours. Copying the tools wholesale to run elsewhere, or reselling access to them, is not permitted.
We update these terms occasionally as the site or its tools change. Continued use after an update means you accept the current version. Our process for updating the tax figures themselves is on the editorial standards page.
